The Fishing Lake was constructed about six years ago to blend into the natural habitat attracting many different species of birds, dragonfly's, Mayfly's, insects & voles which were not present before the construction of the Fishing Lake. It is not uncommon if you are sitting quietly to see a Kingfisher hunting for small fry in the Fishing Lake. So come along and see for your self , I'm sure you'll not be disappointed.
Within the area of the Fishing Lake the six acre meadow is a attraction for wild life. Many different species of birds , Butterfly's & fawner can be seen throughout the year. The meadow is cut out like a maze for you to walk round or exercise your dog with caution for the wild life. Approximately three times round the perimeter of the meadow equals 1 mile or walking around the cut outs in the middle of the meadow equals 1 mile. So you do not have to go far for some exercise.
Also by the Fishing Lake you can sit quietly in the Cedar Summer House and watch the wild life or just relax with a glass of wine and a good book.
